Close Up Happy:
As my actor is quite tall, the tri-pod could not reach close enough to do an extreme close up without the footage being very shaky. However, this is not a problem as my alternative supporting actors can fill in for these extreme close ups.
These are good clips, however I would suggest trying to edit out the background sound just a bit because in parts you can hear the wind in the background and maybe get the actor not to wear his bag so it looks a bit more professional :)
ReplyDeleteI think that these clips as the actors emotions are shown very clearly. You could probably adjust the contrast of the happier clips so it's a bit brighter and so reflects the happy mood as the lighting at the moment is a bit gloomy. However good footage overall! :)
ReplyDeleteI do love these shots, especially the medium close ups! I could see your difficulty with Steve's height, but you've taken it very well with the camera work! If you struggle with holding up a tripod next time when reaching high places, either stand on a stool or something yourself or place the tripod on a slightly higher platform (like a chair or anything you could get your hands on) it saves you having an arm ache!
ReplyDeleteIn terms of criticisms, when it comes to close ups, like with these ones, lower the camera a little bit, so you could frame the actor a bit better, making his head a bit more central. I hope I explained that well!
Fantastic footage!
The clips are very good, but the last two are the best. The close up sad clip is the best as the character is looking into the distance and this creates a great effect that makes the clip the most appealing. In the first two clips, the artist doesn't look as appealing as in the last two clips as he is standing without moving and doesn't seem to be enjoying the song.
ReplyDeleteI love the range of shots you have used and the lip syncing seems to be in time with the song! I think the last two shots are the best and I think maybe you could try and edit out some of the background noise from the wind so that it is not too noisy :)
